UNT has won back-to-back National Championships and gets is name on the prestigious the John R. Townsend Intercollegiate Polo Trophy twice in a row along side other famous colleges: Princeton, Yale, Cornell, UVA and many others

NEWS RELEASE -- APRIL 14, 2024 --OAK POINT, TEXAS-
The University of North Texas rec sports Polo Club won the D1 USPA National intercollegiate Polo Championship for the 2nd year in a row defeating Texas A&M 17-15 in the semi finals and SMU 17-8 in the finals solidifying their position as a national polo power, led by Seniors Vance Miller III and John Dencker, along with teammates Niklaus Felhaber (Sophomore) and Mosiah Gravesande (Freshman) the team has now become the dynasty program in the sport of College Polo. John and Vance won All-Star awards and John Dencker won the coveted sportsmanship award. The team looks forward to competing next year with returning players Niklaus Felhaber and Mosiah , and hopefully repeating the victory.
