POLO LESSONS
Learn to Play Polo at Prestonwood! We offer individual and group polo lessons for adults and kids, come try the greatest and most fun sport in the world! In addition to adult polo Prestonwood has a very successful Youth Polo Program and a popular summer polo camp. Our coaches teach new and experienced players alike and our youth team won the 2016 & 2019 National Championships and 5 Central USA Interscholastic Championships and we've sent 3 players to the National Youth Tournament Series Championship (NYTS). At Prestonwood a gradual approach to polo is taught in order to provide players with an on-ramp into the sport:
Polo Lessons for Beginners: includes basic instruction on riding, hitting and the rules of polo
Coaching League: for new players who have completed lessons, beginner players are paired with experienced players and coached in a group setting.
Margarita League: a step-up for players who have completed Coaching League and want to play at a faster level.
Competitors League: for advanced players who have completed Coaching & Margarita League.
Polo Lesson Prices:
1 Lesson $150 or 10 lesson package $1250
Includes everything: horse, tack, polo mallet, helmet. What to bring: comfortable jeans, boots or tennis shoes (they will get dirty), and riding helmet (we provide helmets if you do not have one). Please print out the waiver and bring it with you to your first lesson. Lesson Schedule is typically: Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesdays & Fridays, and changes seasonally. The Horse in Sport - Intro to Polo Video is one of the best documentaries ever produced about the sport of Polo and is available to Prestonwood Members by permission of the producers, made in the 1980's it is still relevant today
