Prestonwood/Broken Taco has won back-to-back US Arena Handicap Championships
NEWS RELEASE -- DECEMBER 25, 2024--OAK POINT, TEXAS-
The 2023 UNT Men's D1 National Intercollegiate Championship team of Vaughn Miller Jr, Vance Miller III and Andrew Scott playing as Prestonwood/Broken Taco won the USPA US Arena polo open handicap for the 2nd year in a row defeating Equus Hotel Waikiki/McFaddin Ranch 15-14 in the finals and defeating Texas Arena League in the semi- finals 20-15, the US Arena Handicap is played as the subsidiary tournament of the US Arena Open Championship, Prestonwood/Broken Taco won the 2023 US Arena Handicap and barely missed making the semi-finals of the 2024 US Arena Open in a tie-breaker shoot-out. The finals were a tight match with former collegiate champion Steve Krueger proving to be a fierce competitor for Equus Hotel Waikiki/McFaddin, In an exciting finish Vaughn Miller Jr scored the game winning goal with 10 seconds remaining in the final chukker MVP was awarded to Andrew Scott.
